About This Experience

This GetYourGuide listing from Amigo Tours LATAM is one balloon flight sold in four options. The description names them as a flight without transport, a flight with breakfast and without transport, a flight with breakfast and round-trip transport to the balloon port, and a full day with round-trip transport plus guided visits to the Teotihuacán archaeological site and the Guadalupe Shrine. GetYourGuide shows a from price of $148 per person on dates we checked in late October 2026. The listing data we hold does not split that by option, so open the date picker and read each option’s price. Expect the packages to cost more than the from price.

The full-day option has the most detail. The listing’s itinerary has you riding a coach to the balloon port, flying for about 50 minutes at sunrise, then a photo stop with wine and free time. A guided visit of about 3 hours follows at the archaeological zone, then a workshop stop at Artesanías El Quetzal with spirits and shopping, and about an hour at the Basilica of Guadalupe. The listed stops and drives add up to roughly 9 hours. Guests on that option are dropped at the original meeting location, and the listing says you may stay at the Basilica and return on your own. The same operator also sells a Viator listing, 5885P459, that adds a 15-minute flight option, which this GetYourGuide listing does not mention.

Pick flight only if you are driving yourself to the balloon port in San Martín de las Pirámides, which is where the no-transport options meet. Pick the transport option if you are staying in Mexico City, since a reviewer calls it a must at that hour. Pick the full day only if you want the pyramids and a religious site in the same trip. It is a long day, and the balloon is the shortest part of it.

The listing is rated 4.6 from 1,285 reviews. One reviewer enjoyed the flight but found the return to the meeting spot after landing hectic, with cars stuck in the mud. Start times vary by season, with separate schedules for October to March and April to September. The route follows the wind, and flight length can vary with the weather.

Wonderful experience on the balloons. A bit hectic getting back to the meeting spot after landing due to cars getting stuck in the mud, but overall great experience and would recommend.
