Terms of Service
Last updated: October 2026
Important notice
Mexico City Balloon Rides is an independent guide and an affiliate of Viator and GetYourGuide; our hotel links run through Stay22. We help you compare hot-air balloon flights over Teotihuacán and related tours, but we do not sell tickets, take payments or operate any flight or tour. Every flight is run by an independent balloon operator.
By using this site you agree to these terms. When you book, you also agree to the terms of the booking platform you book with and of the operator that runs your flight or tour.
Bookings and payment
- Flights and tours sold on Viator are booked, paid for and confirmed on Viator, under Viator’s terms and conditions.
- Flights and tours sold on GetYourGuide are booked, paid for and confirmed on GetYourGuide, under GetYourGuide’s general terms and conditions.
- Hotel rooms found through our Stay22 links are booked on the hotel booking site you are sent to, under that site’s terms.
- Booking confirmations, vouchers and receipts are issued by the platform, not by this website.
- Prices on this site are the ones we read on the date stated on each page. The platform shows the price that applies to your date and option before you pay.
Cancellations, changes and refunds
Cancellation terms differ by listing and are shown on each booking page. Many listings on Viator allow a full refund if you cancel at least 24 hours before the start time, but not all do, and some operators apply their own rules.
Balloon flights depend on the weather. The pilot or operator decides each morning whether it is safe to fly, and a flight may be cancelled, shortened or rerouted. What happens next, whether a new date, a refund or a partial refund, follows the operator’s and the platform’s policies, which can differ for the flight and for extras such as transport, breakfast or a pyramids visit.
To cancel or change a booking, contact the platform you booked with, using the details in your confirmation email. We cannot cancel, change or refund bookings.
Operator responsibility
The operator, not this website, is responsible for:
- Running the flight or tour as described, safely and in line with Mexican aviation rules.
- Its pilots, crew, equipment, permits and insurance.
- Pickup times and locations, weather decisions, cancellations and changes on the day.
- Age, weight and health restrictions, and any surcharges it applies.
- Handling complaints about the service it provided.
Accuracy of information
We check prices, inclusions, restrictions and practical facts against the platforms, the operators and official sources, and we date what we publish. Listings, prices, rules and opening hours change, so always confirm the details on the booking page before you pay. We do not guarantee that a balloon will fly on a given day or follow a particular route.
Liability
This website is a referral and information service. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for:
- The quality, safety or accuracy of a flight, tour or hotel stay.
- Personal injury, loss or damage during a flight, tour or stay.
- Cancellations, delays or changes made by operators, platforms or hotels.
- Disputes between you and an operator, platform or hotel.
You take part in balloon flights and tours at your own risk and must follow the operator’s safety instructions.
Intellectual property
Tour descriptions, prices and some images come from Viator, GetYourGuide and the operators, and remain the property of their owners. All trademarks belong to their respective owners.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
